Thomas Eric Ruthford: I am an Orthodox author, born in 1979. I got married in 2007, and I have written a humor book about the challenges of trying to find someone at church.

Promoting the book

The purpose of this blog is to promote my first book, "Heaven Help the Single Christian," published by Regina Orthodox Press. This is a humorous advice book for single Christians who are a little disappointed by the slim pickings at church.

This book got started as a series of posted here on this blog, and with the help of comments from the readers here, I edited and re-edited it a whole bunch of times and eventually turned it into a book.

I'll be publishing snippets from the book, and I'll be putting up posts about my efforts to promote the book through speaking events, going to conferences, etc.

One disclaimer I should put up here: I'm not in ministry, per se, with what I'm doing here. This is a book to entertain and maybe help your spiritual life, but I'm not going on some soul-saving tour with the book or anything. And, if you're interested in inquiring about Orthodox Christianity, I'd like to refer you to the Orthodox Church in America.
